As the new year began, I was ready to keep moving forward with it!
Day 18 - Monday the 3rd
10 burpees
20 squats
30 sit ups (with 5# weight on chest)
2 stair runs (with 5# weight in each hand)
4 rounds.
Really struggling on the burpees at this point. I freaking hate them with every breath I take while doing them. Horrible for me! I struggled on the sit ups and the stair runs on this day too. I ended up puking on my way home. I pulled over on the 71, going north and puked. It was not a pretty day for work outs for me.
Day 19 - Tuesday the 4th
20 push ups
20 squats
20 alt v-ups
5 rounds
Struggled with the push ups, but I finished all the rounds. Push ups (like burpees) hurt my wrists really badly some days. I can feel the different in my arms though with these push ups. Even on my knees (the girlie ones!), I can do about 7 before beginning to struggle. I even ran the stairs at the Yum! Center when my Workout Partner and I went to eat and then to a Lady Cards game there.
Day 20 - Wednesday the 5th
25 sit ups
1 stair run
25 alt v ups
1 stair run
30 Russian twists
1 stair run
3 rounds
Very different and very abs focused! Could hard do the twists, it was killing my back. It was so painful I actually had to stop at one point. I tried different ways (with feet in the air, with feet on the ground with toes pointing up) nothing worked. After I got home, I looked the exercise up on line and found I had been positioning myself all wrong - no wonder it hurt!
Day 21 - Thursday the 6th
5 burpees
10 push press
15 knee ups
5 rounds
5 stair runs
OMG Burpees and stair runs in the same day absolutely make me sick to my stomach. Feel good about this workout over all, but argh I can't wait until my cardio stamina improves.
Day 22 - Friday the 7th
3 stair runs
50 squats
30 sit ups
20 push ups
10 jumping pull ups
Neither of us could do the pull ups. I don't know if it's because we didn't really "get" what he meant by "jumping" or if we just couldn't do it. I'd like to think it's because we didn't understand what he was wanting us to do. We improvised and did some modified pull ups on two different bars. I was really sore after this workout and didn't know if I would be able to move my arms the next day.
