It would be so incredibly easy for me to blame the lifting I did on Tuesday. So easy for me to do that. But really? The pain did not appear for 36 hours AFTER I lifted, so logically that tells me it had nothing to do with my lifting. I'm leaning towards blaming the elliptical that I used Wednesday. However I look at it, I know that I need to do more stretching before and after my workouts. I need to make sure I prepare for the workouts.
Two days after experiencing some horrifyingly painful shit with my shoulder, I am still in pain. Definitely not half as badly as it was Friday, but it's still there. I've spent the weekend icing it, taking ibuprofen and generally trying not to use it much. I've also done some stretching exercises with it, to keep it mobile.
It may be painful, but I still have full range of motion in my right shoulder. I can move it any which way and the only one I have a real problem with is lifting my arm straight up. I can do it but boy does that shit hurt (so I don't do that stretch very often).
I'll probably be taking this week off of working out and will be trying to get into my doctor (who will probably refer me to an even more expensive specialist) and get the shoulder taken care of.
If I do work out, I won't be doing anything arms related. I'm sure I could do squats, sit ups, stair runs, etc. etc. We'll see how I'm feeling as the week progresses.
