I skipped today. My shoulder has not gotten any better and it's hurting to the point where I'm considering going to the doctor. But I will wait until Monday to do that because I don't mind paying that co-pay. I refuse to pay $50 at an immediate care center (can't really afford that anyway). So I'm going to spend the weekend (except tomorrow at my 2nd job), icing and resting the shoulder and right arm.
While I don't think the initial "injury" or whatever this is happened from working out, I do believe I shouldn't have worked out yesterday. I don't think the Burpees and push ups helped the situation at all. Even though when I am moving the arm/shoulder, it feels BETTER than when I just sit here and not move it at all. I did the lifting on Tuesday and my shoulder was fine that night and into Wednesday. Wednesday night (in the middle of the night) is when it started hurting. I iced it and took ibuprofen and it was fine for the workout yesterday, if not a little sore.
I've had a lot of aches and pains from these workouts and I've never freaked out about them. I'm on the verge with this one. I don't know what the difference is with this ache, but I'm not digging how this is feeling. It could be it seems worse because the shoulder effects the entire right side of my neck, chest, arm, etc., so it hurts when any of those are moved.
Going to take advantage of three days of rest for this shoulder from the workouts and hope the crap goes away so I don't have to scrape up the money to go to a doctor and miss more workouts. Yes, I'm more worried about working out than I am anything else. I'm a masochist, it's what I do! lol
