To ensure we didn't hang onto the weight we may or may not have gained over the holidays, our lovely trainer had us start Week 4 with:
Monday - Day 14
5 stair runs
50 squats
50 push ups
50 alt v ups each leg (100 total?)
50 lunges
5 stair runs
Fucking seriously. I thought I was going to die, but I did it minus 2 of the stair runs. I'm getting stronger and better with the stuff he's leaving us. My neck hurts, so I need to watch my form on the alt v ups and sit ups.
Tuesday - Day 15
1 stair run
5 burpees
10 sit ups
*10 rounds
Holy crap! First, burpees are the devils creation, I'm sure of it. I made it to round 7 on this one. I had to stop and use my inhaler, so I did not complete this workout. I was in tears just laying on the mat wishing I could calm down. Yes, I was still smoking at this point. And like the masochist I apparently am, I went home and beat myself up for not finishing. mmmhmm
Wednesday - Day 16
5 stair runs
25 push ups
5 stair runs
50 squats
*2 rounds
Struggled with the stairs but made 19 out of the 20 assigned. I added 20 sit ups before each stair run just to give myself a little extra time to breathe before going up those damn stairs.
This was a short week because I took a vacation day and then the holiday weekend to go visit my family. I felt bad leaving Cheryl on the following day (Thursday) but really? I was just glad to get outta the Ville for the weekend!
